Fraktale Kompression: Interaktive Lernanwendung

2001

The interactive learning application “Fractal Compression” was created in 2001 as part of the course Media and Media Streams. Its objective was to explain the principles and methodology of fractal image compression in a clear and accessible way.

An interactive, animated presentation visualized the compression process step by step and was complemented by explanatory text. In addition, fractal compression was directly compared to the GIF format, highlighting differences in approach, efficiency, and output quality.

The application was implemented as an interactive film using Adobe Flash, combining media design with the didactic presentation of technically complex concepts.
