Lernumgebung Medien und Medienströme
2001The learning environment “Media and Media Streams” was developed in 2001 for students of the Chair of Multimedia Technology at the Faculty of Computer Science. Its goal was to convey complex media technology concepts—such as color spaces, encoding, and media streams—through interactive and visual means.
As part of the project, I developed two Java applets, including a simulator for visualizing and transforming color spaces and an interactive tool for the analysis and visualization of media data streams. These applets allowed students to modify parameters in real time and directly observe their effects.
The learning environment combined HTML/CSS with Java-based interactive components. The project was part of the Education Portal Saxony initiative and was funded by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and the Arts.
