Softwaretechnik Praktikum II: Projektplaner

2003

In Software Engineering Lab II, the Project Planner was developed in 2003 as a conceptual and prototypical software system for project planning and coordination. The application was designed to support both project managers and team members, with a particular focus on research projects involving geographically distributed collaboration.
Core use cases included task and schedule planning as well as the management of shared resources such as rooms and presentation equipment.

As part of the project, our team worked on an object-oriented system design, defining the overall structure and architecture of the application. This involved identifying key system components, modeling their interactions, and selecting appropriate architectural and design patterns.
The design followed a layered architecture approach and was documented using UML diagrams, including sequence and class diagrams. To support architectural decisions, selected aspects were additionally explored through lightweight technology prototypes.
