INSEL-BERLIN

In 2004, a new website was created for INSEL-BERLIN to mark the reopening of the long-established cultural and event venue located on Berlin’s Insel der Jugend. The goal was to present a diverse program of concerts, club nights, film screenings, and youth events in a clear, up-to-date, and editorially manageable way.

The site was implemented using HTML/CSS and TYPO3. A custom TYPO3 extension developed by me was used and further extended specifically for this project, enabling structured management of events, schedules, and program-related content.

From a design perspective, the focus was on a warm visual language, clear navigation, and readability, reflecting both the cultural character of the venue and its unique location. The project combines web development, CMS extension development, and media design within a real-world cultural environment.
