Medieninformatik an der TU Dresden

In 2007, the website of the Media Informatics degree program at Technische Universität Dresden was comprehensively redesigned and transformed into a TYPO3-based information portal. The goal was to provide prospective students, enrolled students, faculty members, and external partners with a central, up-to-date, and interactive platform.

In addition to the visual redesign and technical implementation, advanced features such as a wiki and a multi-user blog were introduced, enabling the sharing of experiences, academic content, and insights from teaching and research. Particular emphasis was placed on a clear navigation structure, flexible content management, and long-term maintainability through differentiated editorial roles. As a result, the site evolved from a static website into a dynamic communication and knowledge hub for the degree program.
